Some students face unique circumstances that make it challenging to thrive in a traditional school setting. The North Lamar ISD Alternative Learning Center (ALC) provides a supportive and flexible environment designed to help students succeed in a non-traditional setting.

The ALC offers students a positive alternative to larger secondary school environments, allowing them to work at an accelerated pace with individualized curriculum tailored to their needs. Our goal is to help students achieve their high school diploma while preparing them for their next steps in life—whether that’s college, entering the workforce, or pursuing specialized training.
