North Lamar Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP)

The North Lamar Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) is designed to provide students with the support and structure they need to overcome challenges, grow academically, and develop essential life skills. The DAEP handbook serves as an important resource for parents/guardians and students, supplementing the regular campus student handbook with specific guidelines and expectations tailored to the DAEP environment.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a structured environment that fosters appropriate social behavior, self-discipline, academic success, and personal integrity. The North Lamar DAEP maintains an instructional focus on the academic areas in which each student is enrolled at their home campus.

Objectives
The DAEP strives to:

  • Provide an environment that supports self-discipline, social-emotional development, and improved academic performance.
  • Offer opportunities for students to correct behaviors, take responsibility for their actions, set meaningful goals, and work toward earning the privilege to return to their regular school campus.

Through collaboration, accountability, and targeted support, the North Lamar DAEP is committed to helping students succeed both in and out of the classroom.
